Recommended 3D Printers

If you're new to 3D printing and want an easy guide to choosing a reliable and simple-to-use printer, this list is for you. All of the printers listed below are from the only brand I currently use and recommend: Bambu Lab.

Entry-Level / Budget Friendly Printer

Bambu Lab A1

The A1 is great for beginners or hobbyists on a budget. It has a large print area, is quiet when running, and is affordable. Even though it’s a beginner printer, it makes high-quality prints and works reliably, making it one of the best choices for this price.

Mid-Level Printers

Bambu Lab P1S & P1S with AMS

P1S – This printer can print faster than the A1 and is fully enclosed to for more stable printing. It’s the most affordable Bambu Lab CoreXY enclosed printer, which makes it great for people ready to upgrade.

P1S with AMS – This version adds multi-color printing and can store filaments in a dry environment. The AMS system keeps your filament dry using desiccant slots. When outfitted with a hardened nozzle and extruder, this printer is a strong workhorse for serious hobbyists or small businesses.

High-End Printers

Bambu Lab X1C and H2S

X1C - Think of the X1C as the next step up from the P1S. It has everything the P1S has including fast printing and an enclosed design. In addition it has hardened components by default, a better user interface, and AI-assisted features. The AI can detect print problems in real time, reducing failed prints.

H2S - This printer is ideal if you need a large print area or want a pathway to take on more advanced projects with potential laser upgrades. It also has a plethora of sensors and AI-assisted print monitoring to help avoid errors.
